Home Star Energy Retrofit Act a Win for Clean Energy

The proposed Home Star “Cash for Caulkers Bill is currently making its way through the Senate, with support from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Manufacturers, and enthusiasts on wall street and main street. The bipartisan legislation would establish a $6 billion program to create clean-energy jobs and provide on-the-spot rebates to about 3 million consumers who retrofit their homes to make them more energy efficient–investments that will save homeowners $9.2 billion over the next decade.
